DESCRIPTION
This course provides an introduction to the peripheral functions built into the economical Renesas microcontrollers (MCUs) in the R8C Tiny series. This course is designed to help engineers learn facts that can shorten the system development process and enable them to take full advantage of the functionality the MCUs provide. Part 1 highlights four versatile timer functions—Timers X, Y, Z and C—and explains their modes of operation. It discusses the Watchdog Timer (WDT) and explains how the Power-on Reset (POR) and Low-Voltage Detect (LVD) functions work.
