DESCRIPTION
The intent of this module is to describe the considerations in the design of a reconfigurable signal-processing platform for Software Defined Radio (SDR) applications such as Tactical Communications, ISR and a Communications Infrastructure. It will describe the key features of SDR and the technology challenges. This module will identify types of SDR and identify which signal-processing device is right for your application. The selection criteria for communications fabrics will be reviewed, then compared against selection criteria. Finally this module will give a detailed overview of the software operating environment.
