This lecture
presents a method for power bipolar semiconductor modeling with
SPICE like simulators. It enables power electronics engineers to do
models for power diodes, and BJTs, that give results with accuracy
better than 20%, and simulation times in the order of some tens of
seconds. The method will be useful for the
initial project of new power converter topologies enabling a first
approach to the currents and voltages that are to be
expected.
