The control of
the common-mode component of a differential signal for low voltage
analog signal processors is described. In particular, it is shown
why the large input and output signal swings in an amplifier must
be controlled through a common-mode feedback circuit.
CMFB circuits for voltage and transconductance
amplifiers are described.
