A new PLL based Frequency Synthesis technique, enhances significantly the performance of the synthesizer. According to the new technique the phases of the reference and the output frequency of the synthesizer are sampled at very high rates resulting to increased convergence speed, high resolution and low phase noise. In this presentation, the background of the new technique and its analog implementation is presented.
