Understanding the emerging IEEE
1451.2 Smart Sensor Standard is only the first step in developing a
generic network enabled smart sensor. This lecture
relates the experience of Analog Devices in understanding the
background and concepts behind 1451 and their subsequent
development of a 2 channel 1451.2 compliant transducer on its
recently introduced family of MicroConverter® devices.
