DESCRIPTION
This lecture is the third of four lectures covering the fundamentals of multirate systems. This lecture describes the result when a signal is first upsampled by a factor of L and later downsampled by the same factor, M=L (cascading the upsampler and downsampler) and vice versa (cascading the downsampler and upsampler). This lecture also considers the interchange of downsampler and upsampler, where L and M are not relatively prime integers.

PREREQUISITES
Basic knowledge of digital signal processing.

INTENDED AUDIENCE
