DESCRIPTION This lecture is the third of four lectures
covering the fundamentals of multirate systems.
This lecture describes the result when a signal is
first upsampled by a factor of L and later downsampled by the same
factor, M=L (cascading the upsampler and downsampler) and vice
versa (cascading the downsampler and upsampler).
This lecture also considers the interchange of downsampler and
upsampler, where L and M are not relatively prime integers.
PREREQUISITES Basic knowledge of digital signal processing.
INTENDED AUDIENCE Individuals working in different applications
of digital signal processing and communications, including students
at the graduate level.
ESTIMATED TIME 30 min.
