DESCRIPTION Real-time needs vary based on your measurement
and automation application. You can solve
real-time applications with a general-purpose Microsoft Windows
computer using advanced software and hardware. Other applications
require dedicated real-time systems. In this seminar, we will
discuss the basic real-time measurement and automation
applications, and explain current real-time tools you can use to
address these applications. You will learn:
real-time properties of some standard measurement and automation
applications; computer-based, real-time technologies available
today; how to make an application as real-time as possible with
Microsoft Windows NT; how to create real-time applications with the
new National Instruments LabVIEW RT.
PREREQUISITES Experience using Windows, Windows 95, or the
Macintosh, Programming Experience helpful
INTENDED AUDIENCE This course is designed for engineers,
