DESCRIPTION
Real-time needs vary based on your measurement and automation application. You can solve real-time applications with a general-purpose Microsoft Windows computer using advanced software and hardware. Other applications require dedicated real-time systems. In this seminar, we will discuss the basic real-time measurement and automation applications, and explain current real-time tools you can use to address these applications. You will learn: real-time properties of some standard measurement and automation applications; computer-based, real-time technologies available today; how to make an application as real-time as possible with Microsoft Windows NT; how to create real-time applications with the new National Instruments LabVIEW RT.

PREREQUISITES
Experience using Windows, Windows 95, or the Macintosh, Programming Experience helpful
