This lecture focuses on issues in medical equipment design, especially in relation to advances in computer and software technology for patient monitoring and medical therapy. It is hoped that the issues highlighted in this talk will lead medical equipment designers to make improvements to their designs based on analysis, study and introspection regarding the technical and ergonomic challenges described within.
