This lecture presents in detail the architecture of a new family of programmable devices called FIPSOC. It includes a microprocessor, a configurable analog block and a programmable digital section. A proof-of-concept application is presented that involves all the functional parts included in the system. The features of these devices offer an excellent platform for the development of integrated embedded applications.
