DESCRIPTION

This lecture presents a new distributed control system based on CAN Bus. Its main feature is the capability of reconfiguration and reprogramation, characteristic of programmable electronic devices such as FPGAs. The described system matches into the lift industry and shows a distributed maneuver control system, sturdy and remotely reconfigurable, although it is capable of complete reconfiguration. It also follows an open philosophy which allows the same design to be easily applied, with very few modifications, to other sectors such as mounting chains, industrial processes and so on.
