Digital-to-analog converters (DACs) can be
implemented using a variety of different architectures. The three
most common architectures for integrated Nyquist rate DACs are;
voltage scaling, charge scaling, and current scaling.
By being aware of and understanding the relative
merits of each approach, the designer will be able to select an
appropriate DAC architecture for any desired application.
