DESCRIPTION
This course will begin by describing the heritage of Freescale MCUs and outlining the goals of the CPU and its instruction set. We will then discuss the RS08 CPU programmer's model and describe the addressing modes that are available on this CPU. We will also examine the instruction set with some of the new features the RS08 brings to the Freescale portfolio, such as the use of the Pseudo Instructions, which were included to facilitate the migration from the S08 core to the RS08.
