Learn to use the new UltraController-II reference design with PowerPC and Tri-mode Ethernet MAC in Virtex-4 FPGAs
Overview:

Xilinx presents the UltraController-II reference design, a minimal footprint embedded processing engine based on the PowerPC™ 405 processor core embedded within the Virtex™-4 FX and Virtex-II Pro Platform FPGAs. In this web cast, an overview of the UltraController-II reference design will be presented covering features and capabilities relative to specific applications. A hands-on example of a lightweight web server leveraging the integrated Tri-mode Ethernet MAC (TEMAC) core will be demonstrated. The TEMAC UltraController-II reference design utilizes very minimal FPGA resources with software loaded and executed from the embedded PowerPC caches.

In this technical seminar you will learn:

  • Processing solutions using the embedded PowerPC in the Xilinx Virtex-4 FX FPGA
  • Networking your embedded system using the UltraController-II design with integrated 10/100/1000 Ethernet MAC cores
  • Easily update your design behavior via software
