Overview:
In the move to portable, low power systems, suddenly microphones are producing bits, and class-D amplifiers provide complicated switching waveforms directly to the speaker terminals. To make it even more confusing, the boundaries between the audio CODEC and the DSP processing are blurring, as CODECs take on the tasks of digital equalization, dynamics processing, and more. But does this mean that SNR, THD, and frequency response must be sacrificed?
Join our panel of audio technology experts for a live roundtable discussion and insight into the techniques and problems of producing high fidelity portable audio for today's demanding market.

Bob Adams - Bob is an ADI Fellow and Design Manager for the Digital Audio Group, specializing in driving DAC, ADC, SRC and Surround CODEC developments that are enabling the Consumer Audio industry. To date, Bob has eight patents granted and has several others pending and awaiting disclosure. He is a Fellow of the Audio Engineering Society and is widely recognized as a leader in the field of Audio technology.
Mike Determan - Mike has worked in the field of design and applications for digital audio processing and Class-D amplifiers ICs for several companies before joining Analog Devices as a Senior Design Engineer. He is a graduate of the University of Miami Audio Engineering program and holds two patents related to Class-D technology.
Michael Deruginsky - Michael has been with ADI since September 2007 when ADI acquired AudioAsics. Michael was co-founder and CEO of this Danish based company. AudioAsics specialized in designing microphone signal conditioning solution ASICs, and in this capacity the company was a key driver in the trend towards digital microphones. Before AudioAsics Michael served with leading hearing aid companies in Denmark and Switzerland.
Maury Wood - Maury has been with ADI for 15 years, involved with professional and consumer digital audio IC products, and computer multimedia IC products. He has most recently been focused on low-power, embedded Blackfin DSP product and business development, including digital audio, and program management of next-generation Blackfin DSP core development, including advanced digital audio algorithm and application development support.
Chris Hyde - During Chris' 27 year career, he has designed IC's, RF, optical and quantum electronic systems, as well as semiconductor processes. He has lead groups in field applications and marketing and been Director of Business Development. Chris has been with Analog Devices for over 20 years.
