Overview:
In TTI's first webcast installment on the transportation market, Dennis Zogbi will open with a brief market analysis of the transportation industry followed by AVX, Murata, Panasonic, and Vishay. This manufacturer panel will provide detailed information on their passive components that can be used in off-highway vehicles. Throughout the event the panelists will address questions from the audience.

JEFF RAY is Vice President of Supplier Marketing at TTI. He has more than 20 years experience in the electronic components industry. Prior to joining TTI, he served as Global Distribution and EMS Manager at Littelfuse, Inc. He also has had prior sales and management experience in the electronic and electrical distribution fields. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.
DENNIS ZOGBI is President and Owner of the Paumanok Group, comprised of Paumanok Publications, Inc., Industrial Market Research Division, and Passive Component Industry magazine.

Paumanok provides services to more than 500 customers globally in the total supply chain for passive components, including mines, materials processors, component manufacturers, distributors, and OEM and EMS companies.

The Industrial Market Research Division is the predominant worldwide supplier of market research services to the passive component industry, specializing in off-the-shelf market studies (60 titles on passive components); directed market research (single-client); international market development; bill of materials consulting in passive components; and conferences and seminars.
RON DEMCKO has worked in application and product development roles with military-qualified, radiation resistant passive components at Corning Glassworks. Ron also has experience in the areas of product development with Pulse resistant capacitors, high temperature capacitors and radiation resistant single layer capacitors. He has developed high frequency test methods for RF capacitor parametric characterization and production and co-developed high temperature test systems for advanced product lines.

Currently, Ron is an AVX Fellow and manages the AVX EMC lab in Raleigh, N.C. This role centers on working with sub assembly testing and the implementation of passive component solutions. Ron also works in the areas of product development with integrated passive components, signal integrity system fixes and transient voltage suppression devices. Ron holds a BSEE from Clarkson College of Technology.
MIKE JOHNSTON is an Applications Engineer for muRata. He earned a BSEE from California State Polytechnic College in Pomona, Calif. in 1967. After completing college, Johnston turned a "ham" radio hobby (WB6RIP) into a career. He has worked as Applications Engineer, Product Manager, and Project Engineer at various companies involved in industrial analytical instrumentation. In 1984, Mike joined muRata as regional Field Applications Engineer. He is currently responsible for training and technical Support for muRata Distribution.
TERRY CHARLES is an Application Engineer at Panasonic and is responsible for global design activity for power management, wireless, and the telecommunications market. He has more than 23 years experience in the Electronic Industry. Prior to joining Panasonic, Terry worked with the development of the Infrared Night Vision Equipment. Terry holds a BSEE from McNeese State University.
DUANE HUGHES is the global Director of Automotive Sector Sales for all of Vishay's Products. Duane joined Vishay in April as part of the purchase of International Rectifiers Acquisition of the IR's PCS business. He has 20 years experience in Sale, Application Engineering and Business Development of both Automotive and Geographic Accounts. Duane has a BSEE and an MBA from Lawrence Technological University and has an office in Novi, Michigan.
