Overview:
Cypress has released version 3.0 of the breakthrough PSoC Express™ visual embedded system design tool. PSoC Express enables you to complete a design in minutes, without writing a single line of code. It includes dozens of pre-coded modules that allow designers to drag-and-drop functions into a design that would take days to create in another environment. The new version also includes a new user interface and support for monitoring and tuning capacitive sensing interface designs using the Cypress PSoC® mixed-signal array.
This webinar will introduce engineers to the new PSoC Express. An example design will show how quick and easy it is to complete a CapSense™ design with no code. At the end of the webinar, attendees will be ready to begin their own code-free embedded designs.
The PSoC mixed-signal array is a complete system level solution with configurable digital and analog peripherals, an 8-bit microcontroller and embedded flash memory. It combines maximum design flexibility with ease of use, enabling designers to minimize design time, chip count, board size and system cost. It is the ideal platform to implement capacitive sensing applications, along with fan control, motor control, proximity sensing, temperature sensing, and many other system control functions.

Kai Ying is a product manager for PSoC Development Tools at Cypress in San Jose, CA. Since joining Cypress in 2004, he has held positions in business development and product marketing for the company's PSoC, USB and Clocking devices. Kai received a BSEE from UC Berkeley and an MBA from Santa Clara University.

Bobby Jania is a Global Marketing Manager for CapSense solutions using Cypress's Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC®) where he is responsible for world wide outbound marketing. Since joining Cypress in 2004, he has held positions in product marketing, business development and technical marketing for the company's PSoC, USB and Clocking devices. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
