System Design Optimization with ARM RealView Tools
Overview:
According to a recent Embedded Market Forecasters survey, almost a third of designs miss performance expectations by 50 percent or more, almost a third miss functional specification by 50 percent or more, and almost a third of designs are late by an average of four months. In 65 percent of these cases, limited system visibility was cited as the cause. The traditional SoC workflow offers minimal if any visibility into the full system and no way to examine how software performs on the hardware architecture until it is too late to make necessary modifications. In this Webinar, we will explain how, using ARM® RealView® development tools, not only can system architects and processor design engineers create and validate their designs early in a virtual environment, but software design engineers can develop and debug their code on system models prior to silicon being available.

Who Should Attend:
System designers, processor design engineers, embedded software developers, anyone interested in the SoC development cycle

Presenter:

Elan Tanzer is a technical marketing engineer for Development Systems, the tools division of ARM, based in Cambridge, England. Elan joined ARM over two years ago, working on such products as the RealView Debugger and the RealView Plug-in for Eclipse, as well as collaborating with the departments responsible for the RealView Compilation Tools, RealView SoC Designer, and the Real Time System Models. With an engineering background focusing on usability and quality in software, Elan has spearheaded numerous projects within ARM, bringing the customer experience to the forefront of the ARM RealView Tools.
