Mobile Internet Devices (MIDs) are taking the wireless world by storm. Classified as emerging products that combine wireless communication with computing, they promise a full range of features—including no-compromise Web browsing—and other outstanding opportunities. As an enabling solution provider for MID manufacturers, TI is excited about this bustling market space. The company's OMAP 3 platform, which combines the ARM Cortex-A8 core with imaging and graphics acceleration, fuels features with the maximum performance at minimum power consumption that the MIDs demand.
