The integration of the Optical Transport Network (OTN) with Forward Error Correction (FEC) and Electronic Dispersion Compensation (EDC) technologies into AMCC's Pemaquid 10GbE Mapper device offers the potential for greatly improving the cost-effective deployment of next generation data services and transport technologies.
