This paper discusses physically aware synthesis, a technology that incorporates innovative, physically aware optimization algorithms to improve designs beyond the capabilities of traditional real-time logic (RTL) FPGA synthesis tools. Moreover, users are free to use existing physical synthesis tools, such as Precision Physical or an FPGA vendor's physical synthesis options, in addition to physically aware synthesis, if additional improvement is needed.
