This white paper introduces Avago Technologies' Automotive 1-MBd Transistor Output High Temperature Optocoupler (ACPL-M43T-000E). It is the first automotive isolation device for use in electric motor inverters and DC-DC power packs, created to meet the demands of the rapidly growing hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) market. The paper also introduces Avago's automotive 10-MBd Logic Gate Output Digital Interface Optocoupler (ACPL-M61T-000E) for use in the CANBus communications network, developed to meet the isolation requirement in HEVs' communication interfaces.
