DSP processor performance can be measured in many ways, but making fair and meaningful product comparisons can be difficult. In effort to provide meaningful performance comparisons, BDTI, an independent DSP analysis and software development company, has developed its own suite of DSP benchmarks. In this paper, we will use the data we have accumulated over many years of benchmarking to take a closer look at vendors' performance claims.
