Wireless USB will build on the success of wired USB, bringing USB technology into the wireless future. Wireless USB (WUSB), based on Ultra-Wideband (UWB) wireless technology, is a new short-ranged, high-bandwidth wireless extension to USB intended to combine the speed and security of wired technology with the ease-of-use of wireless technology. WUSB is capable of sending 480 Mbit/s at distances up to 3 meters, and 110 Mbit/s at up to 10 meters.
