Differential signaling schemes are a common approach to achieving higher noise immunity for critical signals in a high-speed digital design. Measurement and modeling of the transmission lines carrying differential signals pose several different challenges. This paper will address these challenges and show how to achieve an accurate picture of differential signal transmission in digital system design and simulation.
