Modeling and production code generation are used to accomplish many of the development, verification, and integral activities described previously. There is no right or wrong way to view a model or the code automatically generated from it. Industry practitioners have used the models in many ways, as well as the tests and code generated from the models. The topics presented in this paper span multiple fields and engineering disciplines. The use of Model-Based Design with production code generation for embedded software production is quickly evolving, especially in the areas of code generation and V&V technology.
