Currently, as IC geometries decrease in size, it is becoming more critical that design teams increase their responsibility of verification from schematic to layout to manufacturing. OpenAccess (OA) is demonstrating it can be an invaluable tool for IC designers who need flexibility in verification during the design process. The OA database contains the intelligence in its data model to make critical verification checks easier and quicker at anytime along the IC design process, especially in large file sizes. This is imperative to data reliability and accuracy during the Design-for-Manufacturing (DFM) flow.
