DESCRIPTION

This course demonstrates the Actel IGLOO field programmable gate array's (FPGA) 10-times static power dissipation advantage over Altera's MAXIIZ complex programmable logic devices (CPLDs) and Xilinx's CoolRunner-II CPLDs. It also demonstrates the Igloo device's "Flash Freeze" feature, in which the FPGA quickly enters an ultra-low static power mode while retaining its design contents.
