DESCRIPTION
This brief course provides some real-life examples of sample plants to demonstrate the effects when various controllers are applied to them. Three examples are provided: a motor driving a gear train, a precision positioning system, and a thermal system. Each of these systems have different characteristics and each requires a different control strategy to get the best performance. Differential equations that describe the behavior of the systems are also included for those interested in the math behind the systems.
