What the registrant will learn by attending the webinar:
Dr.
Charlie Hong-Men Su, CTO and Sr. RD VP, Andes Technology
Dr. Su cofounded Andes 8 years ago in Hsinchu Science Park, Taiwan. He has been in charge of Technical Marketing and R&D organizations, covering product definition, product development, and product marketing. Before Andes, he worked for Taiwan's leading Design Service and IP company, Faraday Technology, for 18 months. Previously, he spent 12 years in management and engineering positions in several Silicon Valley companies including Sun Microsystems, Afara Websystems (acquired by Sun), C-Cube Microsystems, MIPS (Silicon Graphics) and Intergraph Corp., working on processors, multimedia and networking. Dr. Su received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from NTU, M.S. in Computer Science from NTHU, both in Taiwan, and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Overview:
Andes Technology will present an introduction to
their latest power-efficient CPU and MCU core solutions and discuss how to
reduce overall SOC power consumption while delivering high-levels of application
performance. These licensable IP solutions are in volume production today and
used in hundreds of millions of low-power devices. The webinar will cover items
such as:
- Total energy consumption
- Efficiency-driven design
- Power management to exploit efficiency
- Performance throttling
Solutions to reducing power will consider both CPU/MCU as well as application-level and subsystem considerations.
Estimated length: 40 minutes presentation + 10 minutes Q&AWhat the registrant will learn by attending the webinar:
- Power management to meet power requirement and deliver lower energy.
- Techniques to reduce energy consumption from program code memory.
- Power-efficient processor design and preview of the most power-efficient 32-bit processor core.
- Andes Technology Corporation overview and our power-efficient AndesCore⢠processor families and subsystems.
