Overview:
Distributed systems come in a range of sizes and shapes including the traditional chassis with multiple slots connected by a networked control plane, as well as multi-core devices with multiple compute domains, networked clusters of processor nodes, cloud-based clusters and M2M (machine-to-machine) networks with transient machine connections to a central control and database server.

What attendees will learn:

  •     Characteristics of a useful messaging framework
  •     The value of a system-wide debug and trace framework
  •     How a unified management framework can simplify application development
  •     The capabilities of a world-class high availability framework for systems that are too big to fail

There are many different types of distributed systems. One or more of the frameworks described here can speed development, simplify deployment, and streamline management and maintenance of products in the field.

Presenter:
Joe Kidder, Chief Architect for Element Middleware, Enea
