Overview:
Join Xilinx and iVeia in a presentation where they will tear down an iVeia embedded vision design showing how Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCs have addressed their system challenges as well as design challenges from system architecture and hardware design to software development.

Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoCs present a new paradigm in embedded system designs: the combination of a processing system built around high performance ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore application processors with tightly coupled programmable logic enables end product differentiation which improves marketplace success. Designers can meet their critical system needs in term of overall system performance by offloading CPU compute intensive tasks using accelerators built in programmable logic and enhance the real time responsiveness of their system while simultaneously reducing total power consumption in an small form factor, single chip solution. The parallel processing nature of programmable logic is an optimal choice for pixel-level processing of high definition images and videos which makes the Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC an ideal family for embedded vision applications.

What Attendees Will Learn:

  • The value that the Zynq All Programmable SoC architecture brings to embedded vision applications
  • How programmable logic enables designers to offload compute intensive tasks with accelerators
  • How to take a design from concept to implementation by looking at a real customer example.
Presenters:
Michael Fawcett, Chief Technology Officer, iVeia

Greg Brown, Director of Technical Marketing for Processing, Xilinx Inc.

Dan Isaacs, Director of Processing, Product Marketing, Xilinx Inc.
