It is certainly correct to be concerned about the lifetime of the capacitors and the rest of the driver circuit for LED lamps. Now is the time when the reputation is being developed, and if a lot of the devices fail then the adoption will be delayed by many years. Short CFL life was bad enough, but to have a $25 lamp bulb fail will leave a bad memory in consumers minds for many months or years.. So now certainly is the time to do it right.
