Information Warfare: Evaluating Offensive and Defensive Information Warfare Strategies in Mobile Networks
Information Warfare is the offensive and defensive use of information and information systems to deny, exploit, corrupt, or destroy an adversity's information, information-based processes, systems and computer networks. This white paper discusses ways in which wireless networks are vulnerable to attack, as well as ways that they can be protected. The concept of network simulation and emulation software for test and evaluation of information warfare technologies is introduced, along with data from network simulations that demonstrate the value of detailed modeling of cyberwarfare for testing and validation.
