In cyberwarfare, the network is the battlefield. While all networks are vulnerable to attack, mobile wireless networks are the most unprotected because their strengths—agility, adaptability, autonomy, and self organization—also render them practically defenseless against RF distortion and malicious packet-level disruption and intrusion. Software Virtual Network (SVN) technologies and tools accelerate development of offensive and defensive tactics and the training to implement them effectively. SVNs are an ideal laboratory in which to design and test future devices and applications to weaponize cyberattack for non-cyberspecialist warfighters.
