The SEAforth chip architecture offers a new tool set to develop industrial control and sensing applications. This is true for several reasons, but the two most important are: 1) multiple processors in each SEAforth chip allow for true real-time, parallel actions common to all sensing situations, and 2) distributed control of the industrial network becomes practical. Either reason is sufficient for developing an integrated control/sensing network using SEAforth devices. Together, they open a realm of possibilities that was not possible before, especially at the potential price point.
