Developing tools for today's analog and mixed-signal design market requires swift response to ever-increasing design complexity and shrinking time-to-market windows. In this environment, a proprietary database would not only act as a barrier against tool adoption, but its maintenance would divert resources from developing core functionality. This paper describes the new Neolinear software architecture targeting analog and RF design flows.
