This paper describes the importance of accurate DC output control in embedded systems and describes a method for actively controlling any standard adjustable DC-DC converter module, discrete DC-DC PWM controller or LDO over time and temperature. Further, a Point of Load (POL) reference design and complete embedded portable power system under digital control allows dynamic control of output voltage levels.
