ESC SV-140- The Capacitive Touch-Sensing Black Box
Capacitive touch sensing requires a measurement of capacitance, or its relative changes. There are several ways to take a measurement, and once the analog hardware is established, the reading must enter the microcontroller. Post-processing of the data, provided in the form of a number, is required to make any useful sense of the reading. This post-processing is tailored to each application, and can be deceivingly simple or very complex. The concepts have potential for translation to other hardware and post-processing requirements.
