VHDL International (VI) is an organization dedicated to cooperatively and proactively promote the Very High Speed Integrated Circuit (VHSIC) Hardware Description Language (VHDL) as a standard worldwide language for the design and description of electronic systems. Its goals include promoting a worldwide VHDL awareness campaign for educational institutions. In addition, it has the objective to make the VHDL Initiative Toward ASIC Libraries (VITAL) a reality by educating semiconductor suppliers and designers on how to develop VITAL libraries.
