The IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO) is a not-for-profit that offers industry groups (such as consortia, special interest groups, alliances, forums, and working groups) an operational forum and support for development and post-development standards and technology development activities. IEEE-ISTO provides a legal forum for industry groups to operate in without having to orporate themselves as a legal entity.
